Local residents as well as international artists and residents from a wide range of creative backgrounds can make use of this unique public space. The residency houses 13 studio apartments, versatile larger spaces, as well as a gallery space on the ground floor. Tenjinyama art studio Sapporo provides ongoing self-funded residencies for any amount of time up to 3 months as well as occasional thematic residencies that are detailed at the time of open call.

Our team consists of 16 talented creatives and we have a mixture of painters, street artists, photographers, videographers, tattoo artists and ceramic artists. As of December 1, 2021, the café bar På Fjorden is going to open a new coffee bar right inside of the studio, which means our visitors can enjoy their delicious baked goods and coffee at the studio. Instead, visitors will have the opportunity to buy various types of delicious coffee and baked goods at the studio. This will be the optimal place for people, whether they want to sit down and play board games with friends, drink some coffee or simply have study sessions.Īt North Urban Art Studio, visitors cannot bring their own foods and drinks. The aim is to make North Urban Art Studio a well-known lounge area, where people of all ages can chill with their friends, family and study groups. We offer a place for students, elderly and everybody else who long for a chill and relaxing environment. In addition to the gallery, we have a lounge area as well.
This is something we at North Urban Art Studio can achieve by working alongside other visionary organisations and companies. Our end-game goal is to become the biggest and most inspiring community, culture and art attraction in Denmark. In addition, it is possible for visitors to meet the artists themselves and purchase their artworks. At the studio, people from all ages can freely enter and explore the galleries of our talented team of creatives. One of the purposes was to create a secondary home to talented artists and entrepeneurs, as well as creating an unique and youthful art community in Aalborg.
